How can I improve golf swing consistency?

Consistency comes from repeatable setup, reliable sequence, and focused practice. Start with a simple pre-shot routine that fixes alignment, ball position, posture and grip every time. Pick one swing thought (e.g., maintain wrist angle through impact) and a steady tempo—practice with a metronome or a “1–2” count. Build a stable base: balance over the mid-foot, limit lateral sway, and use half‑swings to groove hip-first sequencing. Use alignment sticks to lock aim and swing plane, and record slow-motion video to spot small differences between good and bad swings. Practice short, focused sessions (20–30 minutes) repeating 50–100 purposeful swings concentrating on impact quality instead of distance. Simulate on-course pressure and track ball flight or use a launch monitor to get objective feedback. Fix one fault at a time and keep the same pre-shot routine to turn practice into reliable on-course performance.
